The Prison Epistles
The four letters, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians and Colossians are considered as the Prison Epistles. That is because Paul was under house arrest in Rome when he wrote these letters to the believers in these churches.
Paul wrote to the saints at Ephesus, encouraging them in their faith. The believers were surrounded by the occultic practices prevalent in the area and needed to know who they were and Whose they were.
His letter focuses on the position of the Christian in Christ and the practices of Christians. We learn about the old man and the new man, that we were dead to God but now made alive to God.
